Hello Citizens of Funk World!
Did you have a good week last week? I know I did! My family and I took a road trip to Fort Walton Beach in Florida and we had a pretty good time! Fort Walton is within driving distance of Destin (where all the fun stuff is at), but it’s also far enough away from Destin that it’s never really that crowded.
Although we didn’t make many specific plans for our vacation, we managed to see a dolphin show, a magic show, and we spent some time strolling along the boardwalk. We also went to a lot of good restaurants, and I’m proud to say that I conquered a gator burger!
However, most of the time we were either outside at the pool relaxing, floating down the lazy river, or venturing out to the beach.
Speaking of the beach, you might be wondering why I’m wearing shoes in this photo, when most people would be going barefoot (or at least wearing Crocs). Well, the short answer is that, as I discuss during my speaking engagements, I don’t like sand. As a famous Jedi not-master once said, “it’s coarse and it’s rough and it’s irritating and it gets everywhere”, and honestly, I agree with that sentiment.
As a matter of fact, I’ve agreed with that sentiment since I was a kid! Here’s a photo I use in my presentations to demonstrate how I don’t like sand!
As you can see from the look on my face, I really didn’t like the feel of the sand on my hands.
I suppose some things never change.
I hope you enjoy today’s comic!
Stay Comical!
Jason
