Hello, Citizens of Funk World!
How has your week been? As for me, I’ve been having a pretty good couple of weeks!
Recently, I went to St. Pius Catholic School in Indianapolis to speak to the students about my comics and what it’s like for me to have autism. They were a great group of students and I especially enjoyed answering their questions, which is something I haven’t gotten to do in a while!
I also traveled up to Kokomo to present at a conference given by Inspire Case Management.
The group consisted entirely of adults, which was also a lot of fun because they laughed at all my obscure jokes and had a lot of great questions!
Some of the questions I get asked are unique and thought-provoking, but there are others that I get asked so frequently that I answer them as part of my presentation. One of these questions is “how do you come up with ideas for your comics?” Well, as I say in my presentation, inspiration is all around us! Anything can be an idea for a comic! For instance, on my way to Kokomo, I looked out the window and noticed a church on the side of the road (and when I say “the side of the road”, I mean it- the church was right up next to it!). Here’s a photo of said church:
The church situation got me thinking, my wheels started turning, and just like that another comic came to life! I hope you enjoy it!
Stay Comical!
Jason
